I found a good quote from Ken Levine, designer of Bioshock, on video game violence:

"...I don't want any guy telling me what I can either make or partake of. Because, hey, who the f*** are they to tell me that? Why can they tell me what I can and cannot watch? But we do have an obligation to disclose, just like ingredients in food products. It's what you're getting. You want to eat these trans fats? Well, go ahead. You can make that choice because you're a big boy."

I can't agree with him more.
