'Bout time

Got the new job I applied for...not a bad turnaround...apply on a sunday, call for an interview monday, schedule interview for tuesday week, trial day wednesday week, job offer thursday arvo (today).

Works for me.

I was halfway through typing some uber hyper-manda blog about how cool it was and I'm 'bouncing off the walls' la la la bullshit - but alas, an interruption got the better of me.

Some of you know that my parents are currently going through bankruptcy atm. My dad owned his own business as a wood finisher (similar to french polishing, but on a larger scale) for about 11-12 years, and it finally went belly up last year after a long bad period, causing him to declare personal bankruptcy.

unlike US law, the Australian bankruptcy laws allow the appointed legal council for the case to decided whether or not dads house and certain high value possessions will get sold. My parents have a mortgage on the house, so we assumed it wouldn't be much benefit for them to sell the house, pay out the creditors and take whats left.

We were wrong. Looks like I'm moving again - and only a few months after spending all that money renovating a room in the place as well.

I suppose you cant have an up without a down. I just wish it wasn't this one....

My parents own the house I live in and may need to sell it in order to pay off some medical bills. Congrats on the job though... at least there is a good to go with the bad!
