YAYAYAY!

Ok, so I found out over a week ago and have been bursting out of my seams wanting to shout the news from the rooftops, but since it was all a surprise I couldn't say word! hehe What the hell am I talking about? Here's the story:

On Friday, November 30th, I was going into work late because I worked that Saturday. I was just starting to get ready for work when my phone rang. It was my best friend, David. He asked if I had a minute and I said I did and he proceeded to tell me he was standing in front of a ring store. The funny thing is I knew he was going to say that before he ever said it. I was ecstatic! We talked about it for a few minutes, like the "when". He was thinking New Years, I knew he wouldn't be able to wait if he found a ring. On Saturday, he told me he bought the ring. Again I freaked and was ecstatic. By Tuesday night, he had the ring in his hands and Wednesday we had lunch so that I could see it. It is GORGEOUS! Of course, as soon as it was in his hands he realized he couldn't wait and he decided to propose as part of her birthday celebration. He let me help him pull off a great surprise for her birthday on Friday and I'm sure it killed him to wait but he decided to make it the end of her birthday weekend. Last night, I got a phone call from him and I already knew but I still screamed "YES!!!!" after I heard the words, "She said yes" (which was rather amusing because I was sitting in Starbucks at the time working on a school assignment and everyone looked at me). hehe Then Alicia got on the phone and told me how he did it and I got to squeal more in girly delight with her (poor guy was tired of me squealing probably). Then quick plans were made for us all to get together before I let them go to enjoy the rest of their evening.

I am so happy for them! It's hard for me to even put it into words. David has been such a good friend to me it just makes me so happy to see him find happiness with such a great girl. YAY!
