So this is just a quick update to let everyone know what's going on right now. My grandmother, who for those who don't know has terminal cancer, was taken to the hospital today. The doctors are going on the belief she had a "mild stroke", I disagree based on all of the information available but what do I know? She was admitted into the hospital's hospice unit this evening. I, of course, left work as soon as I found out and came to Chattanooga. When I got to the hospital she was still in the ER a…

Ok, so I found out over a week ago and have been bursting out of my seams wanting to shout the news from the rooftops, but since it was all a surprise I couldn't say word! hehe What the hell am I talking about? Here's the story:
On Friday, November 30th, I was going into work late because I worked that Saturday. I was just starting to get ready for work when my phone rang. It was my best friend, David. He asked if I had a minute and I said I did and he proceeded to tell me he was stand

Addendum to Day Two: Greg has reminded me that we stopped at a Starbucks before heading to Times Square. The Baristas there were a trip and a half. They were telling us to clean up after ourselves and such. You'd almost have to meet them to get how fun it was to hang out there for a bit. I will have to remember to visit that one again when I get back to NYC!
Day Three, Saturday, October 13th: Conner and I only got about 2 1/2 hours of sleep before I got up to get ready. I let him sleep

I've hesitated making this blog because a) I've been busy with work and moving, and b) everyone else has had such great entries I'm not sure I can add much. I'll try to make this a good post but in order to protect the not so innocent I can't put EVERYTHING that happened. lol Anyways, here goes:
Day One, Thursday, Oct. 11th: I didn't sleep Wednesday night because I had procrastinated and not packed. Even after finishing packing I didn't sleep because there didn't seem

So I'm still super excited about the upcoming good times in NYC, of course. Then after NYC I will be moving into my new rental house. Check it out here . I have been having tons of fun playing on my new 360. I have spent several nites with a good friend just chatting and getting used to the Halo 3 controls. I still don't have any games unfortunatly. I had rented Halo 3 and Gears of War and will likely end up renting Halo 3 again, unless I win

Sept. 18th, 2006... one year ago my grandfather finally succumbed to cancer after a long three year battle. I debated even posting anything about this as I don't want to bring anyone down. I waited until the actual day was over but feel for myself I need to mark this occasion.
Last Thursday, Sept. 13th, on what would have been his birthday I went to the first session of an 8 week grief counseling group lead by a local Hospice. It was something I knew I had to do for myself and the peopl…

Ok, so here's how my weekend went.
Friday, came home from work, started packing (yes, I hadn't packed cause I have been too busy --read: lazy--) however as I was putting some stuff in the suitcase I started feeling lightheaded. I had to sit down and rest for a bit and ate something. I felt a bit better after that. We finished packing and left town around 7:30. We were headed to Chattanooga for the weekend to visit with my mom for her birthday and, of course, so I could see my grandmoth…

I found out today that one of the sweetest, most lovable people I have ever met was killed in a car accident. Danny was one of those people who could instantly make you smile and he loved it that way. It is hard to believe that just as his life was just beginning its adventure that he was taken from those who love him. He had just enrolled at University of Central Arkansas as a theatre major and he was looking forward to his studies within that program. Anyone who knew him would tell you that

So, I don't know about the rest of you but I absolutely love the new site. It has a much more professional and refined feeling to it that suits Jesse and Drawn By Pain quite well I think. I'd love to hear what yall think.
What is your favorite feature? What have you found that might help me out as being new and not having time to look over every little thing? What new feature would you like to see? What do you NOT like? Just curious here, speak up and tell me what you think!…
