I would like to eat at a real Sbarros. but as a group, we need to find that cowboy that runs around in his underwear and kick the shit out of him. actually, whatever we do as a group is fine by me... i really have no ideas on what to do but i have faith that the people on this site can come up with something

We'll take you to a bomb pizza place, Sbarros isn't considered NY pizza in the city.

There is alot to do in NYC, everyone needs to keep in mind you can't do it all in two days, or even in two months. A large part of the Museums are in the Upper West and East sides in NYC and most are only a few blocks or right on Central Park. The Empire State Building in on 34th and 7th Ave. Street which is Midtown. There is a 90 minute Cruise around the west and lwer east side of Manhattan or a 3 hour cruise aroound Manhattan that leave from W42nd Street. And there is also the Ferry to Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty. THEse are just afew options, there's more to consider :D

IF i make it, I would like to see the Empire State building and Central Park. The rest of the time for me would be fly by night. What happens is what happens. (again) "if" I can make it.

I'd like to wander Central Park a bit - see the statue of liberty.. finding NY Pizza sounds good too since I've heard so much about it and obviously never had it.

Should probably see Times Square too so I can be all touristy and stop in the middle of the sidewalk to look at buildings.. ;)

Lol, if you see a building that looks unfinished at the top, that is my dads office. Times Square is amazing but be careful :P

I should answer my own question, shouldn't I? hehe Ok, I want to go to that Statue of Liberty and possibly Ellis Island. I MUST go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Central Park, the Twin Towers site and some sort of a city tour. I already have tickets to see Avenue Q on Broadway and plan to go see Les Paul at the Iridium afterwards on Monday night. Some other things not as high on my list are: Empire State building, Madame Tussaud's wax museum, American Museum of the Moving Image... well that list just goes on and on to many of NYCs known attractions.

P.S. I highly recommend going to Entertainment.com and getting the 2007 Entertainment Book for NYC. It's only $10 plus shipping and I think will be worth it for the discounts you'll end up getting if you are staying in NYC for several days like I am!

Cass: You may be able to do MOMA and Central Park in a day. You could also do the Trade Center and The Statue in one day also, but a word on the Trade Center site, the last time I was there(about a month ago) they started hard with construction so they've put up the construction walls, so the only place you may be able to see into the site may be on the way out from the subway. I also believe Ellis Island is a seperate tour. American Museum of Moving Picture is in Astoria, it's a stop or two from the hotel.

A note on getting places: If anyone needs to look at what subways or bus maps, go to: http://www.mta.info/
Info on Subways to and from the hotel into Manhattan: R and V subways run local, meaning they make ALL stop form Queens to Manhattan.

E and F Trains are express making 1-3 stops before they reach Manhattan, they become local once they hit Manhattan.(You will need to take the E,F,R or V to get back to the hotel or into Manhattan, and make sure you're looking AT the QUEENS section of the map)

Also, not to talk about the end before it begins, if you need a ride the the airport please look into it. I will show you how to get to a cab stand from the subway and a second way to get to JFK if you are leaving from that airport.

I pass the wax museum EVERY time I go to a movie because it is just, like, 2-5 buildings down. It is interesting. I have never been inside
